Silver Plating Gasket Rings

One area we have seen a significant interest in is the silver plating of large gasket rings. Silchrome Plating have invested heavily in upgrading our capacity in order for us to plate larger and heavier components than ever before. This has included a completely new plating line, which is crane assisted for heavy parts.

Silver Plating for Gaskets

Silver Plating offers a number of advantages for gaskets. Silver plating is an excellent dry lubricant that offers long term corrosion protection. Silver plated gaskets can operate at higher temperatures. Silchrome’s plating is activated through Nickel Strike and we only use 100% Pure Silver in all of our plating. As you can see above, this creates a very smooth finish with an almost white appearance.

Volumes

Our new line allows us to handle small volumes of large gaskets, but we also offer Silver Plating for a wide variety of other components. The low volumes of medium sized parts we have a dedicated silver line in which individually jigged parts are manually coated. For medium volume requirements we have a semi-automated line which can handle multiple jigged parts on an electronically controlled gantry. For high volumes of small parts (like nuts and bolts) we have a barrel line.
