Office Administrator Vacancy - Maternity Cover 12 months

Silchrome are looking for an experienced Office Administrator to cover a member of staff who is leaving on Maternity leave for 12 months. The position is based in Upper Wortley, Leeds, LS12 4JW.

About us:

Silchrome provide one of the widest arrays of metal finishing processes in the UK. We carry out processes such as electro-plating and conversion coatings for engineering and manufacturing companies.

About The Role:

We are seeking to employ an experienced office administrator to carry out the duties of the sales order processing. The job involves, processing job cards and delivery notes using Opera 3, answering the telephone and resolving customer queries or directing the caller to the appropriate person, along with other administrator duties. This is a full time position offering 28 days annual holiday and working hours of:

8.30am to 17.00pm Monday to Thursday, 8.30am to 15.00pm Friday.  Extra hours may be necessary depending on the work load. Rate of pay is negotiable, depending on experience.

About You:

It goes without saying that a high level of attention to detail is needed in this role. Due to the nature of our work a small miscalculation can have a big knock on effect and we are looking for someone with a high level of computer and administrative literacy. This is a customer facing role and so a good phone manner and personable nature is needed. Experience of Opera 3 would be an advantage although full training will be given to a suitable candidate. We would prefer that candidates live locally to the area.
